About the Pax Romana

The Pax Romana was during the 27 B.C.E to 180 C.E time period. This was when Rome was stable but this meant that there was peace in Rome, not necessarily peace with people beyond its borders. Rome had a strong army which help them keep order in the empire. The soldiers were set at stations to keep an eye on their surroundings. During this time, Rome had always gained the victories against other militaries.
During the Pax Romana, the Roman Empire reached many peaks. For one, the empire was at its greatest peak in the area of land. New roads came together in the empire to help with travel. The empire had an economy that had its advantages, such as water systems, sewage systems, aqueducts, and more. The Roman empire also adapted the Twelve Tables which helped their government and impacted the laws throughout history. The Pax Romana had a growth in their population which it grew to about 70 million people. Architecture in Rome grew to new heights as well, for example, the Flavian's Colosseum, Temple of Peace, and many more were built during this time.
